HEY THERE!

I'm Simone Nelson

Registered Dietician, Functional Nutritionist, and Host of the award-winning Fill Your Plate Podcast!

I'm here to show you how life-affirming it can be to finally work with your body and feel in control of your health again.

Food and I haven't always been best friends…

I spent the first two decades of my life counting calories, stepping on the scale, and trying whatever diet promised me the most weight loss in the least amount of time… just to fall off the wagon within a week or two.

Back then, I thought eating healthy meant eating less.

Less sugar. Less fat. Less of the fed my body, mind, and soul.

By my early twenties, I was struggling with constant health challenges, from chronic abdominal pain and bloating to brain fog so bad I once lost my sunglasses, missed a dental appointment, and locked myself out of my car all.in.one.day.

So when the time came to choose a college major, I opted for a B.S. in Nutrition and Dietetics, hoping to learn how to heal myself. But, ultimately, it left me with more questions than answers.

I could list off the six classes of nutrients, but I STILL couldn’t sort out what was wrong with me—it was beyond frustrating.

Alternative medicine was my last resort. I began meditating every morning, and, slowly, started to feel better. It took time, but I released my fear of food, rebuilt my relationship with my body, and traded dieting for whole foods.

I felt better than I had in years...

And I knew I could use what I'd learned (in and outside of the classroom!) to help others on their own healing journeys.

If you are where I was before starting down this path, I promise that feeling better IS not only possible, but probable when you start working with your body.

After all you've been through, that may be hard to believe, but that's why I'm here—to show you that you can take back your health and wellbeing. Your lust for life.
